Étiquette : french for beginners

  • I’m no good at languages

As a tutor, I’ve been told that so many times by my students. That’s not possible, as you speak your mother tongue. And remember, you were not born one day and spoke English the day after. You were a baby who listened for many months before saying your first word, then your second. You said those first words countless times before making sentences. The whole process took years. Some toddlers don’t speak before the age of 3 or later, even.

So don’t despair, you are good at French, you’re just in the process of learning it and Rome wasn’t built in a day. Be patient, consistent, regular. Regularity is the key.

La patience et la régularité sont les clés.
